Kevin De Bruyne happy with win before international break

Manchester City attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is happy with his side's win against Newcastle United ahead of the international break.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne revealed that he was relieved to get his second Premier League win before the international break.

The Belgian international scored in the club's 6-1 win against Newcastle United but De Bruyne feels that he needs to put in a stronger performance over the 90 minutes next time out.

The 24-year-old said: "It's a nice victory to end this period before the international break, I was happy with the second half but not with the first. It was difficult for me early on but then you go out and try to play better.

"We were a little bit tired because of a hard week, but after the first half hour we got more into the game and in the second half, we started putting on the pressure.

De Bruyne has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances since joining the club from Wolfsburg in the summer.
