England manager Roy Hodgson to stand by Joe Hart for friendlies?

Roy Hodgson will reportedly stand by goalkeeper Joe Hart for England's upcoming friendlies against Chile and Germany.

England manager Roy Hodgson has reportedly decided to give goalkeeper Joe Hart his backing by keeping him as his number one for the Three Lions' upcoming friendlies.

The 26-year-old was dropped by Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini for his side's 7-0 victory over Norwich City and Tuesday's Champions League group win over CSKA Moscow.

Despite being axed from his club's starting lineup, Hodgson is keen to boost Hart's morale by keeping him as number one for friendlies against Chile and Germany, according to the Daily Star.

Hodgson will name his England squad this afternoon.
