Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been selected for Argentina's World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Peru next month despite currently being sidelined with a knee injury.
Aguero limped off during City's opening-day Premier League victory over Southampton with suspected ligament damage.
While the problem isn't as serious as first feared, the 24-year-old wasn't scheduled to return until City's clash with Stoke City on September 15.
However, Argentina manager Alejandro Sabella has called up the former Atletico Madrid forward for the international fixtures on September 7 and 11.
Aguero's club teammate Pablo Zabaleta and Newcastle United's Fabricio Coloccini are also included in the squad, but there is no place for Carlos Tevez.
