James Milner has praised the "team spirit" that exists in the current England squad.
Some speculation had suggested that following the disappointing World Cup campaign in Brazil, there was a lack of harmony among some members of the squad.
However, Manchester City midfielder Milner has insisted that the current setup, who will take on San Marino and Estonia in Euro 2016 qualifiers on Thursday and Sunday respectively, have formed a "very tight-knit group".
"This is a great bunch of lads. There are lot of players who have played at club level, a lot who have played at youth level and it is a very tight-knit group," he told reporters.
"That is what you need going into tournaments and coming out of bad times at tournaments. That is when you need your team spirit."
Milner has been capped on 50 occasions by the Three Lions.
