Manuel Pellegrini: Manchester City were "very patient"

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes that his side were "very patient" in their 4-0 win over Aston Villa.

Manuel Pellegrini has said that Manchester City were "very patient" during their 4-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League this evening.

The home side dominated the first half but went into the break goalless, before scoring four goals in the second half to move to the top of the table.

The manager told BBC Sport: "The team was not only very patient, we played very well. We pressed well, had possession of the ball. We tried to move the ball as fast as we can and created two or three chances.

"I was absolutely sure if we continued to play the same way we would find the space to score a goal.

"Now we can talk about the title. We must win the last game against West Ham. The power of Yaya [Toure] is unbelievable. 100 goals in the Premier League is a good amount of goals."

A win over West Ham United on Sunday will secure a second Premier League title in three season for the club.
