Half-Time Report: Aston Villa holding Manchester City

Manchester City remain level with Aston Villa at half time in their Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium.

Aston Villa have reached half time in their match with Manchester City level following a goalless 45 minutes at the Etihad Stadium.

With the home side looking to move to the top of the table, Brad Guzan was called into action inside the opening five minutes when James Milner played the ball through for Edin Dzeko, but the striker's effort was comfortably claimed by the keeper.

Milner was among the action again shortly after as he pulled the ball back to Pablo Zabaleta, who in turn found Yaya Toure, but the midfielder's finish was blocked on the line.

David Silva tried to flick the ball in from close range as City continued to dominate possession and create chances, but Guzan was on hand to make the save.

Silva had another opportunity shortly before half time when Toure pulled the ball back to him in front of goal, but his scuffed shot was well cleared by the visitors.
