Corinthians have played down speculation linking them with a move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
The 27-year-old's future is yet again in doubt after he missed a training session on Tuesday without the permission of manager Roberto Mancini.
The Argentine's relations with the club are already strained following his alleged refusal to warm upt during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich in September.
"Enough with signing old players," Corinthians marketing director Luis Paulo Rosenberg told FutNet. "In marketing terms it would be successful, but financially, and for the morale of the team, it would not be a good idea overall."
Tevez had a two-year spell with the Brazilian club until his departure to West Ham United in 2006.
