Pep Guardiola rubbishes reports that Manchester City are preparing a £70m offer for Real Madrid attacker Isco.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has categorically ruled out a move for Real Madrid playmaker Isco during the summer transfer window.

The Spain international, under contract at the Bernabeu until 2022, has been repeatedly linked with a big-money switch to the Premier League champions.

Isco revealed prior to last weekend's latest Champions League final success that he has no intention of joining an English club, however, and Guardiola insists that City are not tempted to make a move.

Speaking at an event for the Johan Cruyff Foundation, the Catalan simply stated: "City aren't going to sign Isco."

Isco featured 47 times in all competitions for Madrid this term, including in the 3-1 win over Liverpool in Kiev on Saturday.
