Gareth Bale hints at exit after helping Real Madrid to Champions League glory

Real Madrid's Champions League final hero Gareth Bale suggests that he will considering leaving the club this summer as he wants to be starting games more regularly.

Gareth Bale has revealed that he will hold talks with his agent regarding a move away from Real Madrid this summer after being left out of the starting lineup to face Liverpool.

The Wales international was named on the bench for the second year running in the Champions League final, as Isco was instead preferred in attacking midfield.

Bale made the most of his 30 minutes on the pitch, however, scoring twice - including a stunning overhead kick two minutes after being introduced - to earn Los Blancos a 3-1 win against Liverpool in Kiev.

Probed about his future after the match, the four-time European Cup winner confessed that he will consider quitting the Bernabeu.

"Obviously I was very disappointed not to start the game," he told BT Sport. "I felt I deserved it but the manager makes the decisions. The best I have been doing is to come on and make an impact, I certainly did.

"I need to be playing week in, week out and that has not happened this season. I had an injury five, six weeks in but have been fit ever since. I have to sit down with my agent in the summer and discuss it.

"It has to be the best goal in a Champions League final, there is no bigger stage. I am just happy to get the win. It is a team game but when you are a substitute, it is a game of more than 11 players. I made an impact.

"We know what we have achieved and how good we have been. The league was disappointing but we won the Champions League. It turns out to be a great season. We let everyone else speak. We know how hungry we are in the changing room, how prepared and motivated we are."

Bale netted eight goals in his final eight La Liga games of the season, with Saturday's brace taking him to 21 for the season in all competitions.
