Manchester City have reportedly rejected the opportunity to re-sign Edin Dzeko from Roma.
The 34-year-old is believed to have had a major falling out with manager Paulo Fonseca and is now being forced to train away from the rest of the team.
As a result, Dzeko has been linked with a move back to Man City, where he chalked up 72 goals and 39 assists in 189 matches while winning two Premier League titles between 2011 and 2015.
However, Goal reports that while City were indeed offered the chance to re-sign the Bosnian forward, they turned down the proposal.
The report claims that Pep Guardiola is satisfied with the attacking options that he has at his disposal, even with Sergio Aguero facing a torrid time with injuries and coronavirus, while Gabriel Jesus struggles for consistency.
Dzeko boasts seven strikes in 15 Serie A appearances this term, and a swap deal involving Inter Milan's Alexis Sanchez has also been mooted recently.
