Report: Manchester City to launch £50m Paul Pogba bid

Manchester City will reportedly sell off a raft of big-name players in order to help fund a move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.

Manchester City will launch a bid in excess of £50m to land number one target Paul Pogba this summer, according to a report.

The Juventus star, who left local rivals Manchester United as a free agent in 2012, is also said to be wanted by Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

It is claimed by The Mirror that the Citizens are ready to offload big-name players such as Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic in order to help fund a mammoth bid.

Pogba is thought to be seen as the key player to help instigate a Premier League title charge at the Etihad Stadium next season, following an underwhelming campaign this time out.

Reports have previously suggested that the France international will not be allowed to leave Turin for anything less than £75m.
