Sir Alex Ferguson confirms Wayne Rooney will feature for Manchester United in their Champions League tie with Otelul Galati tomorrow night.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed Wayne Rooney will feature for Manchester United in their Champions League match against Otelul Galati tomorrow night.

Rooney was left on the bench for United's 1-1 draw with rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday after Ferguson had admitted the striker "has had a bad week".

The 25-year-old had been dealt a three-match suspension by UEFA after his sending-off during England's European Championship qualifier with Montenegro earlier this month.

"When he came on against Liverpool he was quite bubbly. He was full of energy and enthusiasm. He was desperate to get on, which is good," said Ferguson.

"Wayne will be playing tomorrow."

United are looking for their first win in this year's competition after draws against Benfica and FC Basle in their opening two group games.
