Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera were among five senior players that missed Manchester United's training session this morning.
The United squad were put through their paces by Louis van Gaal and his coaching staff at their Carrington base ahead of tomorrow's Champions League home group encounter against Wolfsburg.
However, midfielders Carrick and Herrera were absent, as were Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo and number two goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
Van Gaal recently revealed that centre-back Rojo had picked up a hamstring complaint, but it is not currently known if the other four players will be sidelined for the visit of the Germans.
The United boss is due to speak to the media later today, when he is expected to provide an update on the club's injury situation.
