Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Monday's Premier League showdown with Arsenal.

Manchester United host Arsenal at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Monday targeting a return to form after scraping past Rochdale in the EFL Cup in midweek, having lost at West Ham United in their last league match.

United have won just one of their last five league games and have not scored more than one goal in a fixture since the opening day of the season.

Once-formidable at home, the Red Devils have failed to win five of their last seven Premier League matches on their own turf, including three defeats.

United have not been beaten at home by Arsenal in the Premier League since 2006, although they lost 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium in March.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for United ahead of the Monday night match.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Doubtful
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: September 30 (vs. Arsenal)

Rashford limped off grimacing during the second half at West Ham and, although coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not ruled him out of Monday's game, it is expected to come too early for the England forward.

Luke Shaw

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 20 (vs. Liverpool)

The full-back's thigh injury, which was expected to rule him out for around a month, compounded United's misery as they lost 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace last month.

Anthony Martial

Status: Doubtful
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: September 30 (vs. Arsenal)

Monday's match is thought to be the earliest forward Martial could return to action, having picked up a thigh problem before the early September international break.

Eric Bailly

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

The versatile Ivorian defender suffered a knee injury in pre-season - and while official accounts suggest he is making positive progress, he is unlikely to return until at least November.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Fosu-Mensah underwent surgery on ligament damage sustained while on loan at Fulham last season, and his continuing rehabilitation means he is still not ready to return.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players who are serving a suspension for this game.
