Sir Alex Ferguson advises David Moyes on harmony

Sir Alex Ferguson says that managers need to maintain harmony in their team to achieve success.

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has advised his successor David Moyes to maintain harmony in his team.

The Red Devils have made an indifferent start to the 2013-14 Premier League campaign and are currently ninth in the table with 10 points from seven matches.

"Three things are very important when you are working with [coaching staff] - work ethic, loyalty, philosophy," Goal.com quotes Ferguson as saying at the 10th UEFA Coach Education Workshop in Budapest.

"You all have to be singing the same tune, no matter how bad the tune is. It's important that your people agree with you and the way that we at United wanted to play, that was very important."

Ferguson retired from football management in the summer after 26 years in charge of United.
