Ashley Young has admitted that Manchester United were not at their best against Tottenham Hotspur this evening.
The England winger scored twice as United recorded a 3-1 win at White Hart Lane.
Despite the victory, Young has revealed that the Red Devils had not been impressed by their own performance.
"I think in the first half we weren't at our best," Young told Sky Sports News. "I think all the players knew that we weren't playing to our full potential we had to show that in the second half.
"Our passing game wasn't on form and we were lucky to go into the break 1-0 up."
Young's brace took his Premier League tally to four goals this season.
