Sunday's Premier League predictions including Chelsea vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Chelsea vs. Arsenal.

Man Utd vs. Leicester (Sunday, 2.00pm)

For the fourth and final time as Manchester United interim manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy takes to the Old Trafford touchline on Sunday afternoon, when the Red Devils host Leicester City in the Premier League.

The Dutchman oversaw a 2-0 Europa League success over PAOK in the week, while the Foxes left it incredibly late to steal a point from a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.

We say: Manchester United 2-1 Leicester City

As emphatic as Man United's success over Leicester was in the EFL Cup, the Van Nistelrooy bounce has maybe worn off slightly since then, and the Foxes will likely set up to frustrate their hosts this weekend.

Cooper's men have lacked defensive nous on the road all season long, though, so Van Nistelrooy should go out on a high before passing the reins over to Amorim.

Nott'm Forest vs. Newcastle (Sunday, 2.00pm)

The City Ground is the venue for a fascinating Premier League contest on Sunday afternoon, as high-flying Nottingham Forest pit their wits against Newcastle United.

Nuno Espirito Santo's team hit West Ham United for three last weekend to surge into the top three of the Premier League table, while the Magpies put a massive dent in Arsenal's title aspirations.

We say: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Newcastle United

As scintillating as Forest were against West Ham, they were aided by Edson Alvarez's red card on the stroke of the break, and an 11-man Newcastle side will provide a much sterner test.

Regardless, we are struggling to back the Magpies to breach the Tricky Trees' resilient backline more than once, especially given their recent difficulties on the road, so it may be honours even at the final whistle.

Spurs vs. Ipswich (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Reeling from their first negative result in Europe this season, Tottenham Hotspur seek an immediate return to triumphant ways at home to Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou oversaw a 3-2 Europa League loss to Galatasaray during the week, while the Tractor Boys were cruelly denied their first win of the season in a 1-1 draw with Leicester City.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Ipswich Town

McKenna's men almost always carry a threat in the final third and can ask questions of a Spurs backline that is far from watertight, but the hosts' quality at the other end of the pitch should tell eventually.

A repeat of last weekend's 4-1 crushing of Villa is not beyond the realm of possibility, and Ipswich's excruciating wait for their first success of the season will surely go on.

Chelsea vs. Arsenal (Sunday, 4.30pm)

The Premier League gameweek 11 undercard leads up to the main event at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, when Chelsea and Arsenal tussle in a titanic London derby.

Enzo Maresca's side are keeping the Gunners out of the Champions League places by virtue of a superior goal difference, and it was the hosts who coincidentally flexed their attacking muscles in midweek.

We say: Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal

The less said about Arsenal's attacking play in recent weeks the better, but the importance of Odegaard's return cannot be overstated, as Arteta's side will finally have somebody capable of picking defensive locks again.

A Chelsea side who seldom keep clean sheets at home may therefore have to settle for a point against their London rivals, especially if Palmer is not operating at 100%, although Maresca should certainly be the happier manager if the points are split.
