Luis Suarez could be hit with six-game ban

Liverpool's Luis Suarez could face a six-match ban if he is found guilty of making racist remarks at Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez could be hit with a six-match ban if he is found guilty of making racist remarks towards Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

The Uruguayan was charged by the Football Association on Wednesday for an incident during the two sides' game on Saturday, October 15.

The FA could make an example of the 24-year-old due to the recent racism furore, according to The Mirror.

Chelsea and England captain John Terry is currently under investigation by the FA and the Metropolitan Police over alleged comments he made towards Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand during a game last month.

Meanwhile, FIFA president Sepp Blatter has caused controversy after he had to clarify comments in which he claimed that there was not a racism problem in football.
