Nottingham Forest have reportedly identified Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz as a potential January signing.

During the summer, Juventus committed to paying €50m (£41.74m) to sign the Brazil international from Aston Villa, who needed to make a big-money sale to comply with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations.

However, the move is yet to pay off for Luiz who has been restricted to just two starts and 11 substitute appearances in all competitions.

As a result, speculation persists that Juventus could be prepared to part ways with the 26-year-old to free up funds to strengthen in other areas of the pitch.

Man United man 'ready to leave' for Saudi as '£650,000 a week contract offered'

    © Imago

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has reportedly been offered a staggering £650,000-a-week contract by Al-Nassr, with the Brazilian ready to leave Old Trafford before the end of the January transfer window.

Casemiro, 32, had an outstanding first season at Man United after arriving from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022, but he found it difficult last term and has again struggled during the 2024-25 campaign.

The midfielder has made 22 appearances at club level this term, scoring three times, but he was an unused substitute against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday after struggling as a starter against Newcastle United at the end of December.

Casemiro has another 18 months left to run on his Man United deal, which earns him in the region of £350,000 a week, and it had been suggested that the Brazilian was more than happy to remain with the Red Devils until then.

"The club of my life" - Barcelona superstar Yamal offers update on future

    © Imago

Lamine Yamal has confirmed that he will soon sign a new contract at Barcelona, calling the Catalan outfit 'the club of his life'.

The 17-year-old has been in impressive form for Barcelona during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring six goals and registering 12 assists in 21 appearances in all competitions at club level.

In total, Yamal has turned out for Barcelona on 72 occasions, scoring 13 goals and registering 21 assists, which are remarkable numbers considering that he will not be 18 until the middle of this year.

The Spain international's current deal at Camp Nou is due to expire in June 2026, and Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be willing to offer a world-record fee for the attacker.

Statement signing for Arteta? Arsenal 'rivalling' Juventus for Barcelona star

Arsenal are reportedly battling Juventus for the signature of Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo, with the Gunners believed to be keen to secure his services during the January transfer window.

Araujo has only made one appearance for Barcelona this season, playing the full 90 minutes of their Copa del Rey contest with Barbastro in the last-32 stage of the competition.

The 25-year-old missed the opening months of the campaign due to a hamstring problem, which required an operation, but he has been back on Barcelona's bench since the middle of December.

Araujo has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Camp Nou, though, and he refused to offer any guarantees when questioned on his future after the clash with Barbastro.

La Liga switch? Atletico 'eye Man United star' amid rumours surrounding potential departure

Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo celebrate on May 25, 2024
    © Imago

Atletico Madrid are reportedly keeping a close eye on Alejandro Garnacho's situation at Manchester United.

Garnacho has only been a bit-part player under Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim, with the 20-year-old struggling to adapt to the Portuguese's new 3-4-3 system at Old Trafford.

Lacklustre performances in training led to Garnacho being left out of the squad for the Manchester derby on December 15, and he has not started since, with his last four Premier League appearances coming off the bench.

The Argentina international struggled to make his mark in substitute outings against Bournemouth, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United in the Premier League, but he provided an assist in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Liverpool, setting up Amad Diallo for Man United's second at Anfield.

Manchester United attacker Amad Diallo will reportedly officially sign a new deal at Old Trafford "this week".

The 22-year-old's existing contract with the 20-time English champions will expire at the end of the season, but there have never been any fears regarding his future with Ruben Amorim's side.

Amad is currently able to speak to foreign clubs over a possible pre-contract, but Red Devils head coach Amorim said last week that the Ivory Coast international was close to penning a new deal at Old Trafford.

"Amad is near," said Amorim when questioned on the attacker's future.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford may reportedly receive a loan offer from a Premier League giant.

Despite Ruben Amorim indicating that Rashford remains part of his plans, it has become clear in recent weeks that the England international has little future at Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old has not been used since a Europa League fixture on December 12 and has been left out the majority of squads since that date, coinciding with an interview where he stated that he was ready for a new challenge.

Over the past 24 hours, it has been widely reported that Rashford's brother and agent is currently in Italy to discuss a potential switch to AC Milan.

Premier League duo ready to target fringe Chelsea player?

Chelsea defender Renato Veiga is allegedly attracting interest from two Premier League clubs during the early stages of the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old has made a total of 11 starts and six substitute appearances since arriving from Basel during the summer.

However, the Portugal international has seemingly dropped down the pecking order since his last start, which came against Shamrock Rovers in the Conference League on December 19.

While Enzo Maresca has been short of players to deputise for the injured Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile, Veiga has remained without a second top-flight start of the season.

Manchester United winger Antony has allegedly been presented with the chance to make the switch to a Spanish club.

Having failed to impress during his first two seasons at Old Trafford, Antony has dropped further down the pecking order during 2024-25.

Just three starts and nine substitute outings have been made under Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim this campaign, his solitary goal contribution coming against Barnsley in the EFL Cup.

With Amorim eager to generate funds for new arrivals, the Brazil international is one of an array of players who are available for transfer during the January window.

Ronaldo 'pleads' with Al-Nassr to sign Manchester United star

Al-Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo reacts on November 25, 2024
    © Imago

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly pleaded to the hierarchy at Al-Nassr to sign Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.

The two enjoyed an illustrious spell at Real Madrid together during the mid-2010s, winning 12 major honours, and they were also briefly reunited at Man United at the start of the 2022-23 season, before Ronaldo's dramatic exit.

Ronaldo stormed out of the club following a falling out with Erik ten Hag, but Casemiro remains at Old Trafford, despite dropping out of the side and becoming a fringe player in the last 18 months.

Turning 33 in February, Casemiro's time at the club looks set to come to an end either this month or in the summer though, following the arrival of Ruben Amorim, who has only started him three times in 12 games.

Barcelona 'made to wait' over potential free signing of Germany international

Barcelona have reportedly not yet reached an agreement to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.

Tah is out of contract in the summer, and Barca are believed to be working hard in order to seal the player's signature on a free transfer, with a pre-contract agreement this month.

The 28-year-old remains a key figure in the Leverkusen side, starting every game across all three competitions for the club so far this season.

Tah also skippered Die Werkself to their first ever Bundesliga title last season under Xabi Alonso, and played four games for Germany at Euro 2024 last summer.

Chelsea 'willing to sell' nine players to fund Marc Guehi transfer

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca on October 20 2024
    © Imago

Chelsea have reportedly put as many as nine players on the transfer list in order to raise funds for some January business.

The size of Enzo Maresca's squad came under much scrutiny in preseason, but the Italian boss has managed it effectively, trimming it down and having two separate teams for league and cup competitions.

However, the numbers on the books remain extremely bloated, and that could lead to a fire sale at Stamford Bridge this month.

Chelsea are also lacking in defensive numbers, given the recent injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile, so much so, teenager Josh Acheampong was drafted in for a start against Crystal Palace last weekend.

January transfer window: Latest news, rumours including Luiz back to Europe

Chelsea legend David Luiz is seemingly likely to make a return to Europe before the end of the January transfer window.

The 37-year-old has represented the Blues on two occasions, Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal during a glittering career.

Flamengo has been Luiz's home since 2021, where he won four pieces of silverware including the Copa Libertadores, but the veteran is now a free agent.

However, according to agent Julio Taran who was speaking to journalist Johnny Georgopoulos, discussions are being held with Greek giants Olympiacos.

Man United, Zirkzee 'in agreement' over struggling forward's future at Old Trafford

Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee on December 15, 2024
    © Imago

Joshua Zirkzee allegedly has 'no interest' in leaving Manchester United, with the Netherlands international determined to stay with the Red Devils for the second half of the 2024-25 campaign.

The 23-year-old arrived at Old Trafford off the back of scoring 14 goals and registering nine assists in 58 appearances for Bologna, but he has struggled to make his mark during his first season in English football.

Zirkzee has only managed four goals and two assists in 28 appearances for Ruben Amorim's side, and the low-point of his time at the club came on December 30, when his early substitution against Newcastle United was celebrated by a number of the home fans at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman was back involved against Liverpool on Sunday, though, appearing as a late substitute in the 2-2 draw, and he set up Harry Maguire for a golden chance late on, only for the centre-back to fire over the crossbar.

'Agent in Italy' - Is Man United forward on verge of January departure?

Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee celebrate on December 1, 2024
    © Imago

Marcus Rashford is reportedly not training with Manchester United on Wednesday, with the forward's brother and agent believed to have travelled to Italy to hold discussions with AC Milan executives.

The England international was not involved in Man United's Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday due to an illness, but it is likely that he would have been left out even if the attacker was in full health.

Rashford has not played for the Red Devils since December 12, recently being overlooked by Man United head coach Ruben Amorim due to his lacklustre training performances and also his general demeanour around Carrington.

The 27-year-old expressed a desire to seek "a new challenge" in an interview with journalist Henry Winter after being left out of the squad for the Manchester derby with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

January transfer window: Latest news and rumours including Latte Lath to West Ham

Middlesbrough's Emmanuel Latte Lath on January 4, 2025
    © Imago

Middlesbrough have reportedly named their asking price for Ivorian forward Emmanuel Latte Lath, who is on the radar of many clubs this month.

Another goal in the weekend draw with Cardiff City took Latte Lath's tally for the campaign to 10, with only two players having scored more goals than the 26-year-old in the Championship.

According to Football Insider, that has caught the attention of a few Premier League clubs, most notably West Ham United, as well as Ipswich Town and Leicester City.

The report goes on to state that Boro will hold out for a fee in the region of £15m for their key striker, if they are to let him leave midway through a season where they are chasing promotion, with Michael Carrick's men currently sat in fifth.

Major sale required: Man United 'need movement' in order to sign PSG star

Nuno Mendes and Randal Kolo Muani of Paris Saint-Germain on May 1, 2025
    © Imago

Manchester United will reportedly have to make a major sale during the January transfer window in order to stand a chance of completing a mid-season deal for Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes.

The Portugal international is believed to be Man United's number one target when it comes to the left-sided wing-back role at Old Trafford, with that position proving to be incredibly problematic for head coach Ruben Amorim.

Luke Shaw's ongoing muscular problems have led to Diogo Dalot operating in that area, but the Portugal international has struggled to make his mark and is much more comfortable down the right.

Tyrell Malacia is available again after almost 18 months on the sidelines with a serious knee injury, but the Netherlands international has struggled in his limited action this term and is not thought to be in Amorim's long-term plans.

New frontrunners in race to sign Chelsea midfielder Casadei?

    © Imago

Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei allegedly has interest in his signature from one of Serie A's top clubs.

The 21-year-old has been provided with 424 minutes across six appearances in cup competitions this campaign, five of which have come in the Conference League.

However, even with Romeo Lavia sidelined through injury, the Italy Under-21 international has not been provided with any Premier League opportunities, a clear indication of his place in the pecking order under Enzo Maresca.

Earlier this month, it was claimed that Torino were the clear frontrunners for his signature, providing that a fee could be negotiated with their Chelsea counterparts.

Man United head coach Amorim 'could be left frustrated' in pursuit of 26-year-old

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim on January 5, 2025
    © Imago

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly keen for the Red Devils to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacker Randal Kolo Muani before the end of the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old has found it difficult to make his mark for the French champions this season, only managing two goals and one assist in 14 appearances, and he is free to leave on an initial loan deal this month.

According to The Telegraph, Man United are very much in the hunt for the France international, with their head coach Amorim believing that he would be the ideal addition to a struggling attack.

The report claims that Amorim wants a forward capable of 'timing runs in behind defences' due to Rasmus Hojlund's struggles in that area, and that is viewed as one of the main strengths of the PSG attacker.

Contracts and Chelsea: Could Mainoo really leave Man United this year?

Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo comes off injured on September 29, 2024
    © Imago

Kobbie Mainoo has reportedly been left 'unhappy' with the initial terms that he has been offered by Manchester United when it comes to a potential new contract at Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old has a deal with the Red Devils until the summer of 2027, with the option of a further 12 months, but he is only believed to be on £20,000 a week at the club, making him one of the lowest earners in the first team.

Mainoo has had his difficulties this season, but he put in an outstanding performance against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, as the Red Devils picked up a point in a 2-2 draw at Anfield.

In total, the England international has made 52 appearances for Man United, scoring five times and registering one assist, although he is yet to provide a goal or an assist in 17 outings during the 2024-25 campaign.
