Everton defender Leighton Baines tells the club's fans that he is planning to stay beyond the January transfer window.

Leighton Baines has told Everton supporters "not to be worried" by speculation that has linked him with a move away from Goodison Park.

The England international has been the subject of reported interest from Manchester United, with some reports on Twitter having claimed that they may submit an offer during the upcoming January transfer window.

However, Baines has revealed that he expects to be an Everton player at the beginning of February.

"I'm not that into Twitter but I would say not to be worried," he told Sky Sports News. "There have been a few windows and a few rumours and I'm still here so there is nothing to worry about."

Baines joined the Toffees from Wigan Athletic in 2007.
