Barcelona have reportedly emerged as another potential destination for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
Despite his side's inconsistent performances in Ligue 1, the France international has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in Europe.
Given the finances that would be involved in any transfer, a switch to a Premier League club appears most likely with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool having been linked with the 22-year-old in the past.
However, according to Sport, Barcelona are ready to get involved in the race for Tchouameni's signature, providing that he does not go elsewhere in the summer.
The report suggests that Barcelona realistically have little intention of pushing through a deal later in 2022, instead preferring to make the player a priority a year further down the line.
Tchouameni possesses a contract at Monaco until 2024, although his team may be tempted into a sale should they fail to secure European football for the 2022-23 campaign.
