Barcelona are reportedly prepared to stay patient in their bid to sign Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta on a free transfer.
The legendary Blues skipper, who has won every club trophy during his stint at Stamford Bridge, is currently featuring in his 10th campaign.
However, the full-back has just four months remaining on his contract, and Chelsea are seemingly reluctant to offer the 32-year-old anything longer than a 12-month extension.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, that is not the case with Barcelona, who are ready to hand the Spain international a two-year deal with the option of a third.
Romano adds that Barcelona are in no rush to get a deal over the line, acknowledging that they want Azpilicueta to be comfortable with any decision given the time that he has spent with his family in England.
Earlier on Tuesday, it was claimed that the Catalan giants are also on the verge of signing Azpilicueta's teammate Andreas Christensen, another likely free agent come the end of the season.
