Manchester United will make Daley Blind available for transfer in this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly make Daley Blind available for transfer in this summer's transfer window.

United recently activated a clause in the Dutchman's contract that would see his existing deal extended until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

However, according to The Mirror, the decision to extend the 27-year-old's contract was with the view to protecting the value of a player that could be heading out of Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Blind, who has been on the sidelines for the last two months with an ankle problem, has only made five Premier League appearances for United this term.

The former Ajax youngster was a regular during his first three years at Old Trafford, but has struggled for action this season - making just 15 appearances in all competitions.

Roma are said to be interested in striking a deal for the Netherlands international this summer.
