Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez is reportedly still a transfer target for Chelsea.
The 23-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona during last summer's transfer window but ultimately remained with Inter and has enjoyed another impressive campaign.
The Argentina international has scored 17 times and registered nine assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for Antonio Conte's side during the 2020-21 season.
Martinez said earlier this year that he was close to signing a new long-term deal with Inter, but there has still not been an official announcement, and Barca have recently been credited with an interest once again.
According to ESPN, Chelsea view the South American as a potential alternative to Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland, who is seemingly wanted by a number of leading European clubs.
Martinez, also previously linked with Manchester City and Manchester United, has scored 47 goals in 123 appearances for Inter since arriving from Racing Club in 2018.
Chelsea are said to be in the market for at least one new striker due to the uncertainty surrounding the futures of Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham.
