Matthias Ginter flattered by Manchester United link

Freiburg defender Matthias Ginter says that he is flattered to be linked with a transfer to Manchester United.

Freiburg defender Matthias Ginter has admitted that he is pleased to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

United boss David Moyes reportedly watched the 20-year-old centre-back when he featured in Freiburg's goalless draw with Hertha Berlin.

Ginter has said that while he is flattered by the interest shown in him, he is focusing on helping his club avoid relegation from the Bundesliga this season.

"If it is true, I am of course honoured and excited," Clubcall.com quotes him as saying. "On the other hand, there is still a long way to the summer."

Ginter has been included in the Germany squad for their friendly against Chile on Wednesday.
