Inter Milan reportedly lead Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign Napoli attacker Dries Mertens on a free transfer ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The 32-year-old, whose current deal in Naples will expire at the end of June, was linked with a move to Chelsea during the January transfer window, but the Blues could not get a deal over the line.
Frank Lampard's side, in addition to United, are still thought to be interested in signing the Belgium international once his current deal expires.
However, according to Calciomercato, Inter are at the head of the queue for the attacker and have offered him a bumper contract to make the move to Antonio Conte's side.
The report claims that the Milan giants have put a £85,000-a-week deal on the table as they attempt to win the race for his signature.
Mertens has scored 12 times and registered six assists in 29 appearances at club level this term.
