Toni Kroos hits out at "false" media reports linking him with a move away from Real Madrid.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has rubbished claims that he has asked to leave the club this summer, describing the speculation as "false information".

Spanish outlet AS reported on Friday that the Germany international feels his time at the Bernabeu has run its course and he is seeking an end-of-season move elsewhere.

Kroos has featured in 35 of Madrid's matches in all competitions, but that has not stopped him being the subject of intense transfer rumours for a number of months, with Manchester United rumoured to be eyeing up a deal.

Taking to social media on Friday, though, the 29-year-old tried to put an end to the talk over his uncertain future by quoting the AS article with the caption "Absolutely false information!".

Since joining Madrid from Bayern Munich in 2014, Kroos has made 228 appearances for the Spanish giants.
