Manchester United and Chelsea will reportedly go head-to-head for the signature of Atletico Madrid defender Miranda this summer.
The 30-year-old had a strong 2013-14 season with Atletico, where his form at the back was a key part of his side's La Liga title success.
Injuries have harmed the defender this season, however, while the emergence of Jose Gimenez has also made Miranda's long-term future uncertain.
According to The Telegraph, Atletico would rather sell Miranda this summer than risk losing the Brazilian on a free transfer next June, when his current deal expires.
Man United and Chelsea are both in the market for new defenders this summer.
