Manchester United have reportedly been informed by Tottenham Hotspur that they will have to come up with a bid of £95m in order to open contract talks with Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen will see his deal with Tottenham expire at the end of the 2019-2020 campaign and it is thought that the Denmark international will seek pastures new this summer.
Real Madrid have been strongly linked with a move, but according to The Mirror, United are also in the hunt for a player who has scored eight times and contributed 16 assists in 42 games for Spurs this season.
The same report, though, has claimed that United will have to pay £95m for the attacker, despite the fact that he will only have 12 months on his Tottenham contract when the summer window opens.
Eriksen - a 2013 arrival from Ajax - has scored 64 times and registered 85 assists in 268 appearances for his Premier League club in all competitions.
The 27-year-old is also an 87-time Denmark international.
