Manchester United are reportedly one of a number of top European clubs who are interested in signing Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt.
With Red Devils trio Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe all expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, Erik ten Hag is set to bolster his options in central defence to provide more competition for Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are all closely monitoring De Ligt, who is under contract at Juve until June 2024.
The report adds that the Italian giants fear De Ligt will not extend his current deal as the defender's representatives are demanding that his €120m release clause is lowered to between €70m and €80m.
De Ligt recently told the media that he would not rule out a potential exit from Juventus, insisting that he will make the final decision over his future.
The Netherlands international was a first-team regular for the Serie A outfit in the 2021-22 campaign, scoring three goals in 42 appearances across all competitions.
