Manchester United have reportedly set an asking price for one of their more experienced players ahead of the summer transfer window.
Erik ten Hag and his squad concluded their 2023-24 Premier League campaign on Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 victory away at Brighton & Hove Albion.
However, courtesy of Newcastle United's 4-2 success at Brentford, it meant that the Red Devils would finish in eighth position in the table, their lowest-ever in the competition.
Although Man United still have a FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday to look forward to, speculation persists that Ten Hag could be removed from his position in the dugout regardless of the outcome.
The same applies for many of United's first-team squad, a consequence of their struggles for consistency and the desire to make significant changes to the group.

Asking price set for Casemiro
Casemiro's poor form throughout this season has made it an inevitability that his name has been mentioned for a likely departure in the summer.
Getting his lucrative wages off their outgoings will suit the Red Devils hierarchy, yet they will also want to attract a fee for a player who cost €70m less than two years ago.
According to a report in the Daily Star, United's hierarchy would be prepared to cash in on the Brazil international for €40m (£34.2m).
With Casemiro having turned 32 years of age in February, it remains unclear whether trying to attract that level of fee is a realistic possibility.

Can United expect to receive their asking price?
All things considered, the only way that United will come close to generating the desired amount of funds is through interest from Saudi Arabia.
Casemiro may have completed the 90 minutes in recent victories over Newcastle United and Brighton, yet they represent his only notable performances for a number of weeks.
He still has two years remaining on his contract, with the option of a further 12 months effectively meaningless due to his age and United's desire to reduce their wage bill.
Despite the recent criticism, Casemiro has still brought some value to United, contributing 12 goals and nine assists from his 83 appearances.
