PSV Eindhoven manager Phillip Cocu has confirmed that the club has not received any approaches for Memphis Depay, despite being linked with a switch to Manchester United.
The 20-year-old winger, who has also been touted as a possible target for Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan, has impressed for the Netherlands during their World Cup campaign in Brazil.
Reports have suggested that Depay could follow Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal to Old Trafford after the World Cup when he begins his reign as the new United manager.
However, PSV boss Cocu has told Voetbal International: "There have been no contacts, and he has a contract with PSV [until 2017], thus let's not get ahead of ourselves.
"He has only one full season behind him. I think you need a certain base to take the next step and that is independent of the qualities that a person has. Therefore, he must stay at PSV for at least a year."
Van Gaal and Depay are currently preparing for the Netherlands' semi-final against Argentina, which gets underway in Sao Paulo this evening.
