David Moyes is expected to begin the overhaul of his Manchester United squad in January by selling five of the club's under-performing fringe players.
The Premier League champions have struggled in the Scot's debut campaign in charge and they currently sit ninth in the table, 13 points behind leaders Arsenal.
According to the Daily Mail, manager Moyes will attempt to spark a mid-season turnaround with a heap of activity in the winter transfer window and a clear-out that will include a quintet of departures.
Strikers Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck will reportedly be available to other suitors, with Tottenham Hotspur said to be very keen on the services of £15m-rated Chicharito.
Anderson and Tom Cleverley may also be offloaded, with Moyes desperate to bring in extra quality in the midfield, while Alexander Buttner will make way if Everton left-back Leighton Baines moves to Old Trafford.
The former Toffees manager has already publicly promised to improve his squad in the New Year.
