Carles Rexach: 'Pedro staying at Barcelona'

Pedro will not leave Barcelona in the summer, according to technical committee member Carles Rexach.

Carles Rexach has expressed his belief that Pedro will remain a Barcelona player beyond the end of the summer transfer window.

The Spanish international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool all said to be interested.

However, Rexach, who is a member of the technical committee at the Camp Nou, has insisted that the 27-year-old is a "very important" part of Luis Enrique's squad.

"He has prominence here. [He] is very important at Barca. I do not see Pedro away from Barca," Rexach told Spanish television channel Esport3.

Pedro has made 35 appearances in all competitions this season, from which he has scored 10 goals.
