A growing number of senior Manchester United players have reportedly been angered by Wayne Rooney's continued desire to leave Old Trafford this summer.
United rejected a second bid from Chelsea for the England international yesterday, with manager David Moyes adamant that the striker remains part of his plans.
Experienced United stars including Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs and Patrice Evra are growing frustrated with the situation, and Rooney's refusal to commit his future to United, according to The Independent.
Rooney has also pulled out of the club's friendly against AIK in Stockholm tonight with a shoulder injury, suffered in a behind-closed-doors match against Real Betis last weekend.
The shoulder problem is expected to force the forward to miss training for around three days, leaving Moyes with a decision over whether to include Rooney in his squad for Ferdinand's testimonial on Friday night.
