Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that he has "a great relationship" with Jose Mourinho amid suggestions that the Swedish international could join his former coach at Manchester United.
Although Mourinho is yet to sign on the dotted line at Old Trafford, it is widely thought that the Portuguese will officially take control of Man United before the end of the week.
Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, has been strongly linked with a move to the 20-time English champions as he prepares to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer next month.
The Swedish international has confirmed that he is still in regular contact with his former Inter Milan boss and backs the 53-year-old to bring success to the Red Devils.
"I think it's a great move, you want action you bring Mourinho. I believe he's the man to bring them back to the top, yes. Wherever he went, he won. He knows what he is doing. If you want to win, you bring Mourinho," the 34-year-old told reporters.
"I had a fantastic time when I was working with him. When I left Inter I said we had a short time together but I had a great time and if we will work again I don't know, let's see how things play out.
"I have been speaking with him every day since I left Inter. There is no secret, I have a great relationship with Mourinho and we have been in contact but not the last week, we have been talking for many years so that's it. What do you want to know? Tell me?"
It has been reported that Man United are 'the only English club' that Ibrahimovic will consider joining this summer.
