Manchester City banned from Europe
Manchester City have been successful in their appeal against a two-year ban from European competition which UEFA initially dished out in February.
The punishment for alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play rules would have prevented Man City from competing in the Champions League, Europa League or any other UEFA competition until 2022-23.
However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport has lifted the ban and reduced the fine from £27m to £9m, for failing to co-operate with UEFA's investigation.
The ruling means that Man City are now free to take part in the 2020-21 Champions League, while also having a knock-on effect on the Premier League table with only the top four good enough to qualify for the top-level European competition again.
