Winger Adama Traore has ended his disappointing spell at Aston Villa by signing for Middlesbrough.
Last summer, Traore arrived at Villa Park from Barcelona but his only start for the club came in the League Cup as he made 11 appearances off the bench in the Premier League.
However, he has now been given an opportunity to prove a success in English football with Boro, who have handed the 20-year-old a four-year contract.
Head coach Aitor Karanka told the club's official website: "He is another important player and I am expecting a lot from him.
"I've known him since he was a kid. He went into the national team just after I left, but I know all about him and what he can do.
"His level is higher than he showed last season, but in the right environment I'm hoping that he will show what he is capable of."
Traore becomes Middlesbrough's 11th incoming of the summer.
