Napoli record a hard-earned 3-1 win over Parma at the Stadio San Paolo.

Napoli have kept pace with Juventus at the top of Serie A with a convincing 3-1 win over Parma at the Stadio San Paolo.

The hosts were given the chance to go ahead in just the third minute of the game.

The referee pointed to the spot after Antonio Mirante had fouled Goran Pandev inside the area and Edinson Cavani found the net despite missing the resulting kick.

Pandev slammed home to make it 2-0 six minutes before the break, but Walter Mazzari saw his side's lead halved by a glancing header from Marco Parolo.

Parma had plenty of opportunities to get themselves back on level terms, but in the end it was Lorenzo Insigne who scored his first senior goal to make sure the points stayed in Naples.
