Newcastle United are looking to continue their fine form on Thursday, and Eddie Howe has some decisions to make with a couple of key players being fit again.

Newcastle United have several injury problems to deal with heading into Thursday's Premier League fixture with Southampton, as Isaac Hayden, Jamal Lewis, Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson are all unavailable.

However, Eddie Howe might be able to welcome Matt Ritchie back to the team, as he has returned to training this week after his knee problem, but this one could come to soon for him to start.

Allan Saint-Maximin managed to make a second-half appearance at the weekend after his own fitness issues, and the winger is expected to be back in the starting XI for this fixture.

While Jacob Murphy could drop out of the team, Ryan Fraser will stay in, as he is enjoying a purple patch of form right now, especially after scoring against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

At the back, Martin Dubravka will feature in goal, while the same back four is likely to be used, as Matt Targett and Emil Krafth take up the full-back positions, with Dan Burn and Fabian Schar continuing their partnership in between those two.

Bruno Guimaraes is still waiting to push into the starting lineup as was expected when he signed, but Howe could once again end up using him from the bench.

Newcastle United possible starting lineup: Dubravka; Targett, Schar, Burn, Krafth; Willock, Shelvey, Joelinton; Fraser, Saint-Maximin; Wood
