Newport County manager Jimmy Dack has revealed that he is hoping to add "one or two" new signings to his squad before this week's Football League loan deadline.
The Ironsides boss paid tribute to the backing he has received from the club's hierarchy since taking over until the end of the season at Rodney Parade and suggested that the Gwent outfit are working on a couple of deals, which they hope to complete during the coming days.
He told the South Wales Argus: "There are one or two in the pipeline and hopefully we'll have some news before Friday.
"I don't want to go into these important games and not be able to play players to a system I want to play. I don't want to leave myself short so if we can bring in one or two we will.
"The club are very supportive of that and we're all working hard behind the scenes to make sure it happens."
Newport currently lie seventh in the League Two table.
