Giuseppe Iachini pleased despite Juventus defeat

Giuseppe Iachini says that Palermo could have emerged with something from their match against Juventus if they had taken their chances.

Palermo manager Giuseppe Iachini has said that his team played well despite suffering a 2-0 defeat against Juventus this afternoon.

The Rosanero went into the match off the back of their first win of the season, but they were beaten in Turin thanks to goals from Arturo Vidal and Fernando Llorente.

"We played a good game, especially on defence," he told Radio Rai. "However, it was a shame we conceded the second goal after the half-time break. All in all, we had a solid showing although we misplaced a few passes here and there.

"We definitely could have done better in the second half, but couldn't finish off any of our chances.

"It's never easy to play Juventus, especially at home and they're a difficult side to cause problems for."

Palermo are currently 18th in the Serie A table.
