Portsmouth administrator Trevor Birch has revealed that Tal Ben Haim's "excessive" wages could lead to the liquidation of the club.
The 30-year-old receives a £30,000-a-week salary, and Birch believes that the player's wages are an indication of where the club have gone wrong.
"Ben Haim represents everything that has gone wrong at Portsmouth, the excessive wages that were given four of five months before they went into administration the first time," he told The Independent.
Portsmouth were relegated from the Championship last season.
