Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has revealed his delight after completing the signing of Hearts forward Kyle Lafferty.
The Glasgow giants announced on Wednesday afternoon that they have secured the services of Lafferty on a two-year contract.
Lafferty returns to a club which he represented between 2008 and 2012, and Gerrard has said that the Northern Ireland international was desperate to return to Ibrox.
Gerrard told the club's YouTube channel: "He knows what this club's about. There's no risk in terms of him performing in front of the demand of this crowd and this club and the expectation.
"I believe we're a young squad, so he brings vital experience to us. He's a Rangers nut and he was desperate to come. I think he ticks all the boxes that I want as a front man. We know we're quite bare up there without him, so that's why we want him."
Rangers hope to have Lafferty available for the Europa League fixture with FC Ufa on Thursday night.
