Ronaldo: 'Zinedine Zidane the best'

Former Brazil forward Ronaldo lavishes praise on former Real Madrid teammate Zinedine Zidane.

Former Brazil forward Ronaldo has claimed that Zinedine Zidane was the finest player that he ever faced.

The pair clashed on international duty with Brazil and France respectively, but later became teammates at Real Madrid.

Ronaldo has said that it was a "pleasure" to train with the midfielder, who for many is one of the greatest players in history.

"Zinedine Zidane was the best I played against," Ronaldo told Sports Illustrated.

"I had the pleasure to train with him. People saw a lot of things in matches, but I saw him every day in training, in games. Every time it was amazing to watch him."

Zidane is currently head coach of Real Madrid Castilla.
