Real Madrid will be without the services of four first-team players for Sunday's Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid, with Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal and Arda Guler unavailable.
Courtois and Militao are long-term absentees with serious knee injuries, while Carvajal is suffering with a muscular problem, which also ruled him out of the Champions League clash with Union Berlin.
Guler is back in full training with Real Madrid after recovering from a knee operation, but the youngster has not been selected for the clash with Atletico, with the decision being made to hold him back.
Vinicius Junior, though, has fully recovered from the hamstring injury that has kept him out for the last month.

Jude Bellingham is also named in the squad, having overcome the stomach issue that forced him to leave Friday's training session before his teammates.
Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos have both recovered from the problems that forced them to sit out the early weeks, with the duo named in the squad for this clash.
Speaking during his press conference on Saturday, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Bellingham would start against Atletico, but a decision is yet to be made on Vinicius when it comes to the first XI.
Real Madrid have won each of their opening six matches of the 2023-24 campaign, five of which have been in La Liga, with a total of 15 points leaving them at the top of the table.
"Always before a big game like tomorrow, we have a good feeling and we're hopeful and excited. We're looking forward to facing a team with a lot of resources, everything is normal and there's nothing new," Ancelotti said while previewing the match.

"There's excitement about a big game and to have the good dynamic that we have right now.
"I think the derby is always a great opportunity, whether you're in a good moment or a bad one. A derby is always a special game, they are the two teams from the capital, two teams with a lot of quality.
"It will be and always has been a game with a lot of intensity and beautiful to watch. I don't think that Atletico's defeat to Valencia matters, they had a very good game against Lazio, and I don't think they'll affect this, tomorrow's game is different."
Real Madrid recorded a 2-1 victory in the corresponding match between the two sides at Wanda Metropolitano last term, but the points were shared at Bernabeu in the reverse fixture.
