Marcelo is pleased with Real Madrid's recent results and wants his side to win the remainder of their games this season.

Real Madrid defender Marcelo has urged his teammates to continue their winning streak for the remainder of the season.

The Brazilian full-back was speaking following his side's 2-1 away victory over Celta Vigo in La Liga on Sunday that saw them climb up to second in the table.

"Today we were able to win with a lot of work," he told reporters. "From the beginning it was a hard game, but we struggled and fought.

"We did very well and things worked out. We have improved, it's true, we are in a winning streak and we want to keep it up until the end of the season."

Madrid have reached the final of the Copa del Rey and the Champions League quarter-finals this season.
