Real Madrid reportedly hope to have completed a significant overhaul of their squad by the start of the 2022-23 campaign.
Ahead of the next transfer window, Real are said to be eager to reduce their playing squad, primarily in order to raise transfer funds and lower their wage bill.
However, according to AS, club officials are keen for several high-profile additions and departures to have occurred by August 2022.
With numerous long-serving players, such as Marcelo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, having contracts which expire in 2022, it is suggested that Real want to have parted ways with the majority by that date.
The report adds that Real are also paying close attention to players who have deals until 2021 - a list which includes Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric.
Real are said to want to complete deals for Kylian Mbappe and Erling Braut Haaland as they look to put together a new star-studded attack.
