Real Madrid have reportedly expressed concerns that their summer move for Kylian Mbappe could be scuppered by Paris Saint-Germain securing a new long-term deal with the striker.
The Frenchman is reportedly open to leaving the Parc des Princes at the end of this season should the club once again struggle in the Champions League.
Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has been an admirer of Mbappe for some time, noting earlier this term that moving to the Bernabeu would be a "dream" for the 20-year-old.
According to the Evening Standard, there are concerns at Madrid over the possibility of Mbappe agreeing fresh terms with the Ligue 1 champions instead.
Reports have claimed that PSG are willing to hand Mbappe a deal that would make him the highest-paid player in world football.
Mbappe, now in his third season at PSG, grew up idolising Cristiano Ronaldo and Madrid, and is said to view joining the La Liga side as a long-term goal.
