Monaco quash Radamel Falcao, Real Madrid rumours

AS Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim reiterates the club's firm stance on star striker Radamel Falcao, insisting that he will not be sold to Real Madrid.

AS Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has unequivocally stated that striker Radamel Falcao will not be joining Real Madrid this summer.

Speculation is rife that the Colombia ace may follow teammate James Rodriguez to the Spanish capital before the end of the transfer window.

"At this point Falcao is our player and he's with us 100 per cent and we don't want to let him go," Jardim told reporters.

"It's a pity we lost James [Rodriguez] but we can count on Falcao staying. Regardless of what people say, he's our player. He's in the final stages of his recovery and he'll be with us this season."

Falcao, 28, made his long-awaited comeback from injury in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Valencia in the Emirates Cup.
